Veterinary Technician - Emergency & ICU

Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA- accredited hospital located in Washington D.C.  is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic veterinary technicians to join our Emergency and ICU teams! About the role: 

In this fast-paced role, you’ll work closely with ER/ECC doctors, fellow technicians, and assistants to provide high-quality, emergent care. Ideal candidates are confident in triage, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, history taking, and anesthesia monitoring, and are committed to teamwork, multitasking, and continuous skill development.

Schedule: This is a full-time position. Schedule is usually four 10 hour shifts per week with some flexibility. Some weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician preferred
• 1-2 years experience working as a veterinary technician required.
• Recover certification a plus, but not required.
