We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Inventory & Warehouse Associate to support our shipping and inventory operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a warehouse environment but has a strong aptitude for inventory control, purchasing, data entry, and computer systems.
The Inventory & Warehouse Associate will work directly under the Shipping & Inventory Manager to maintain accurate inventory levels, order supplies, receive incoming shipments, organize the warehouse, and assist with shipping operations. This role combines physical warehouse work with administrative responsibilities and requires someone who is comfortable using computers, learning new software, and paying close attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and warehouse supplies.
- Perform daily inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Organize and properly store inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Order packaging materials, ingredients, dry ice, warehouse supplies, and other production materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management before stock reaches reorder points.
- Enter inventory transactions accurately into inventory management software and spreadsheets.
- Generate inventory reports and assist with inventory analysis.
- Maintain organized inventory records and documentation.
- Prepare customer shipments, picking orders, packing coolers, labeling, and loading carriers as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Keep warehouse clean, organized, and inspection-ready.
- Perform month-end and year-end physical inventories.
- Work closely with Production, Shipping, and Purchasing to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Follow all food safety, FDA, HACCP, CGMP, and company policies.
- Perform other warehouse and inventory duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous inventory control, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and inventory management software preferred.
- Comfortable learning new computer systems and software.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and stay organized.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to become certified).
- Previous purchasing or ordering experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in warehouse and cold storage environments.

Schedule and location
Full-time, on-site at our Mobile, AL facility. Reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. 7am-4:30pm. Schedule centers on the daily shipping window; some seasonal volume fluctuation is expected.
