Location: Waterbury, CT
Pay: $47.43 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (½-hour lunch) | No on-call

About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 3-month temporary position with the potential for permanent hire. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an adult residential program serving 24 clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, clinicians, prescribers, and support staff to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for clients with substance use and mental health disorders
- Conduct admissions, discharges, and ongoing assessments
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects and compliance
- Coordinate with prescribers, clinicians, and case managers to support integrated treatment plans
- Schedule and track medical appointments, physicals, and lab testing
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in compliance with policy
- Support a safe, therapeutic environment for clients in recovery
- Participate in daily team meetings and client care planning
Requirements
- Active RN license in the State of Connecticut
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Experience with substance use, co-occurring, or behavioral health disorders preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Program Details
- Adult population, 24 clients per unit
- 24 total staff including nurses, clinicians, prescribers, and technicians
- No on-call responsibilities
- Ideal start date: November 17, 2025, or sooner if available
