We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes.
Duties
1. Project Management:
- Manage construction schedules, budgets, and inventory homes.
- Oversee all phases of the construction process, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
2. Vendor and Contractor Coordination:
- Coordinate vendors and contractors to procure materials efficiently.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and proper sequencing of construction activities.
3. Subcontractor and Labor Oversight:
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and labor teams to ensure effective workflow and quality.
- Perform on-site verification of subcontractor work to ensure adherence to specifications.
4. Site Inspections:
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
- Address and resolve problems promptly to maintain project momentum.
5. Contract Management:
- Manage contracts and ensure all contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and implement solutions to maintain project efficiency.
7. Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing warranty service needs and resolving client concerns.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in construction and onsite project management.
- Strong supervisory skills with a proven ability to lead teams effectively.
- Excellent project scheduling capabilities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and compliance requirements.
- Valid Driver's License.
- General Contractor (GC) license is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including estimating and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in using tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical testing is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team building and conflict resolution.
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical drawings effectively.
