Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation)

Mountain West Law, a boutique law firm in Salt Lake City, is seeking an experienced attorney to join its civil litigation team. Ideal candidates will have two to five years of experience in general litigation, but construction and contract litigation are a plus. Candidates must possess superior research and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of professionalism, and a proven willingness to work as a team.

Requirements:

·        2-5 years of litigation experience

·        Must be licensed to practice in the State of Utah

·        Trial experience preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Managing case deadlines

·        Attending hearings and trials

·        Identifying and retaining necessary expert witnesses

·        Preparing discovery requests and responses

·        Defending and taking depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses

·        Maintaining case file organization

·        Strong attention to detail and precision

·        Preparing pre-trial and dispositive motions

·        Must possess a strong work ethic and demonstrate a history of effectively working independently and delivering a consistent work product
