Position Overview
The Business Development and Sales Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive business growth, while also providing comprehensive support to both our internal sales team and our external channel partners. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking, relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the consultative sales process.
Key Responsibilities
This role requires travel to meet with clients, attend industry conferences, and engage in strategic discussions to further business development goals. Travel will primarily involve visits to clients, potential customers, and industry events. The estimated travel time is expected to be 25% of the time, depending on business needs. Travel may include domestic and, on rare occasions, international destinations. Flexibility and effective time management will be key in balancing travel with core responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with senior management to create and implement strategic plans.
- Sales Support:
- Assist the sales team with lead generation, qualification, and follow-up.
- Draft proposals for training and quotations for training equipment hardware sales
- Assist in preparing sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for internal and client meetings.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients with the Head of Industrial Workforce Development.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the team to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop actionable insights to optimize sales processes and strategies.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on business development efforts.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- Experience in training delivery, sales, or learning and development is a plus.
- Prior sales experience in industrial, service (as a sale), manufacturing, automation, or technical markets is highly desirable.
- 5 years of experience in business development, sales, sales support, or a related role—preferably with responsibility for training products or services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets driving revenue growth.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with CRM software (e.g. SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including the ability to tailor messages fir technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
