- A passion and desire to make a difference
- Have a desire to learn about university prevention organizations and practices
- Must be organized, have strong attention to detail, and be able to complete projects independently
- Be enrolled at Ferris State University, taking at least 6 credits
- Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA
- Have approval from the Office of Student Community Standards to join the program Essential Duties/Responsibilities: *Generate a curriculum of events that would occur throughout the academic year
- Provide year-round awareness to ensure that changes in thoughts and actions are sustained long-term
- Attend all monthly Anti-Violence Alliance meetings
- Attend all mandatory training sessions (Including but not limited to dating/domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, public speaking, prevention best practices, how to facilitate the Bringing in the Bystander curriculum, and annual refresher training )
- Co-facilitate prevention/awareness programs or events each semester
- We are looking mainly for peer educators who are willing to present, but we can accept a few applicants who only want to create social media content.
