Ferretti Search is partnering with a fast-growing clean-technology engineering firm to hire an Electrical Engineer. This role is perfect for an early to mid-career electrical professional who enjoys full-cycle control system design, from schematics to PLC programming, and wants to contribute to cutting-edge water treatment and nuclear-support projects.
Relocation support can be provided - typical packages are around $5,000, but our client can flex this on a case by case basis.
PLEASE NOTE: Because the projects involve sensitive government work, we and our client can only consider candidates who are U.S. citizens.
Electrical Engineer
Location: Richland, WA (on-site with some light remote flexibility)
Compensation: $130,000-160,000 DoE.

Hours: Flexible - can choose to work 4x10-hour days, 4x9hour days with a half day, flex hours, etc.

What will your day look like?
- Create and maintain electrical drawings, loop wiring diagrams, and load calculations.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5000 and FactoryTalk).
- Coordinate factory acceptance testing and support on-site commissioning trips (approximately twice per year).
- Interface with technicians, engineers, and customers to resolve schematic and assembly questions.
- Ensure NEC compliance and uphold company quality and safety standards.
Who are you?
- Electrical Problem Solver: minimum of 3 years of electrical design or controls experience in industrial environments.
- PLC Ready: Comfortable with PLC programming; Allen-Bradley preferred but strong desire to learn is welcome.
- Design Savvy: At least one year of AutoCAD (or AutoCAD Electrical) experience for schematics and panel layouts.
- Detail Oriented: Able to read P&IDs, follow wiring diagrams, and document changes accurately.
- U.S. Citizen: Required for project eligibility and background screening.
- Strong Communicator: Clear verbal and written skills with a proactive, team-first attitude.
