What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Lead Monday-Friday 7am-3pm position at FERRERO?
About the Role:
Assists in facilitating and achieving plant goals of safety, food safety, quality, efficiency and productivity. Incorporates Company associate relations philosophy of “Associate Empowerment” to foster a positive work environment. Visibly supports Company policy, decisions and objectives at all times. Reports to RMT (Maintenance Supervisor).
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinates efforts of assigned personnel to achieve goals of safety, quality, efficiency, sanitation, scrap and attendance.
- Carries out daily production plans. Works with associates to develop recommendations for changes to equipment. Completes work orders, personnel reports, and shift reports.
- Communicates, trains and monitors good manufacturing practice standards with emphasis in areas of safety, housekeeping and quality.
- Communicates with RMT to understand needs of production and when overtime is expected. Mandatory overtime expected of Lead will be at discretion of RMT.
- Ensures that accidents are reported and investigated. Assists Safety Team with recommendations for improvement, modifications and corrective action.
- Works with assigned personnel on PM's, work order requests, records, and reports.
- Communicates Company policies and holds assigned associates responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with them.
- "Empowers" assigned personnel to become self-directing. Develops assigned personnel to make decisions pertaining to their operational areas.
- Serves as resource, providing leadership and training to assigned personnel, assess job assignments, methods and priorities. Evaluates performance of assigned personnel.
- Monitors and coordinates efforts in safety, sanitation and equipment training.
- Assist in conducting communications, including workpace and task force meetings.
- Performs other duties as directed or necessary.
About You:
High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of: operation of batch manufacturing equipment, operation of high-speed packaging, production maintenance, sanitation, distribution or administrative specialties required. Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
