Warehouse Selector - Night shift

Position Overview

The Selector is responsible for accurately selecting, building, and staging customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures products are picked and prepared according to company standards while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety.

Essential Responsibilities

• Pick up proper selecting documents prior to the order selection process
• Select and separate products by account and stop number as designated by computer-generated label
• Match product descriptions with label descriptions to ensure order accuracy
• Build pallets according to customer guidelines and delivery requirements
• Maintain production standards while minimizing selection errors
• Transport completed orders using a stand-up electric pallet jack to the appropriate staging area
• Return completed selecting documents to designated collection site per Shipping Department procedures
• Maintain safe work practices and follow all company safety protocols
• Maintain good attendance and reliability
• Safeguard confidential company information
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 80 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb frequently throughout the shift
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures (cold to warm environments)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong dependability, thoroughness, and communication skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, stock picker)
• Experience in food distribution or high-volume warehouse operations
• Basic technical understanding of warehouse equipment (electrical and mechanical)
