Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Billing Specialist at Ferrari Group in Miami, FL. The Senior Billing Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely client billing withing the freight forwarding and logistic sector. The Senior Billing Specialist will collaborate closely with the Operations and Sales teams to process invoices, reconcile billing data, and support the integrity of the company’s revenue cycle.
In this role, you will also work in partnership with the Collections Department to resolve billing disputes and ensure efficient cash flow management. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of international freight billing practices and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and issue client invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate billing information with Operations and Sales Departments to ensure completeness and consistency.
- Manage billing disputes and collaborate with the Collections Department to resolve client issues.
- Maintain billing records and documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to revenue recognition and billing adjustments.
- Analyze billing data, identify discrepancies, and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a complex billing cycle, preferably within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation industry.
- Strong understanding of INCOTERMS and billing practices specific to international freight operations.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in ERP or billing systems; experience with logistics software is a plus.
