Position Summary
The Armed Armored Car Guard & Driver plays a critical role in transporting valuable goods under strict security protocols. This position involves operating armored vehicles, handling shipments, and safeguarding assets while complying with Nevada state laws and internal procedures. Candidates must be highly dependable, alert, and trained in firearms handling and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Drive armored company vehicles on scheduled routes to pick up and deliver valuables.
Follow all safety and security procedures while loading and unloading cargo.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of transport, including delivery logs, manifests, and chain-of-custody documentation.
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly.
Maintain communication with dispatch and team members throughout the shift.
Remain vigilant and alert at all times to ensure the security of the vehicle, cargo, and personnel.
Respond to emergency situations and potential security threats in accordance with training and company protocol.
Ensure compliance with state laws and internal operating procedures, especially regarding firearms use and security standards.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Nevada Driver’s License with a clean driving record (minimum 3 years).
Nevada PILB Armed Security Officer Certification (Required).
Completion of a firearms qualification course and annual requalification (Required).
Must possess or be eligible for a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate for commercial vehicle operation.
Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs. and operate hand trucks/dollies.
Strong attention to detail and professional demeanor.
Must complete background investigation and drug screening
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in armored car service, law enforcement, or military.
Knowledge of secure logistics protocols, chain of custody, and asset protection.
Familiarity with GPS systems, radio communication, and electronic tracking technology.
