Position Summary
The Armed Armored Car Guard & Driver is responsible for the secure transport of valuable cargo between facilities and client locations. The position requires alertness, firearms certification, operational discipline, and adherence to Nevada Private Investigators Licensing Board (PILB) and DOT regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate armored vehicles safely and securely in compliance with route schedules.
Load and unload valuable cargo while maintaining full control and situational awareness.
Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety and functionality.
Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and prepare accurate manifests and logs.
Communicate clearly with dispatch, security control, and clients using secure channels.
Remain alert and ready to respond to potential threats or emergency situations per training.
Ensure compliance with company policies and all local, state, and federal regulations.
Present a professional demeanor while interacting with clients and the public.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Nevada Driver’s License with a clean driving record (minimum 3 years required).
Valid Nevada PILB Armed Guard Card (Required).
Completion of firearms qualification and requalification courses as required by Nevada law.
Must hold or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
Completion pre-hire background check, drug screening, and firearms proficiency exam.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and move heavy cargo with appropriate equipment.
Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure.
Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in armored transport, law enforcement, military, or private armed security.
Familiarity with Las Vegas-area routes and secure logistics operations.
Experience operating radio communications and tracking systems.
