The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for managing customer credit risk while supporting the organization’s revenue growth. This role partners closely with Sales to establish appropriate credit limits and payment terms, mitigate financial exposure, and ensure consistent and timely cash flow. With the implementation of credit insurance, this position plays a critical role in safeguarding the business against risk while enabling continued growth.

The role is responsible for preparing comprehensive credit review proposals through analysis of third-party credit reports, customer payment history, internal payment trends, and key financial metrics derived from financial statements. These recommendations are presented to leadership for review and approval. This position is instrumental in maintaining strong credit controls, supporting integration efforts, and driving informed decision-making to balance risk and growth. This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Pricing and Accounts Receivable

  • Analyze financial statements, third-party credit reports, and customer credit history to assess overall risk across all customers
  • Identify and evaluate trends in customer payment history and internal payment behavior to proactively manage risk and inform credit decisions
  • Prepare and present comprehensive credit recommendations to leadership for review and approval
  • Monitor daily orders on credit hold, assess account status and exposure, and provide clear release or hold recommendations to minimize disruption to shipments while protecting the company from undue risk.
  • Partner closely with Sales to structure credit limits and payment terms that support revenue growth while managing risk
  • Support the implementation and effective use of credit insurance to mitigate financial exposure
  • Standardize credit evaluation processes across newly integrated customer portfolios to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Identify and consolidate duplicate or inactive payer accounts to improve data integrity within the customer master
  • Strengthen overall credit risk management practices to protect cash flow and reduce potential bad debt exposure
  • Perform annual review of the credit policy
  • Contribute to scalable business growth by balancing risk mitigation with commercial objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills that will make you successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2 years of experience in credit analysis, accounts receivable, or financial risk management
  • Proven experience conducting credit reviews and establishing/maintaining customer credit limits
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Proficiency in financial ratio analysis and credit risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience utilizing third-party credit tools (e.g., RetailStat, Pulse)
  • Experience analyzing AR aging and customer payment trends
  • Familiarity with credit insurance programs and risk mitigation strategies (preferred)
  • Experience supporting integrations, mergers, or portfolio transitions (preferred)
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., S4 Hanna) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $71,100 - $99,540 annually.
