Summary
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Reads shop packets and bills of lading or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Includes moving corrugated to end use storage areas.
- Loads materials into vehicles and secures as appropriate and conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled as appropriate.
- Operates industrial truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Cycle count specific storage locations and/or inventory on a daily basis.
- Prepares material for outside services.
- Communicates with buyers/ engineering regarding materials.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- And/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be forklift certified. (required only in designated areas)
- Must be willing and available to work overtime and Saturdays as scheduled.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate and perform required documentation.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Basic computer skills.
