Welcome to Fernleaf Bakery, home to traditional high-quality scratch baking. We are looking for a part time baker to join our team. We value care, consistency in everything we make and an eagerness to grow as a baker.
About the job:We are looking for someone who appreciates hands-on work, traditional baking methods and being a part of the community. We also want to provide an environment that encourages learning and self-expression. The position will entail:
- Responsible for early morning daily baking and other baking tasks, following established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
- Help ensure products are consistent, fresh and made with care.
- Occasionally help with front of house tasks as needed.
Who the bakery is looking for:
- Some baking/kitchen experience is preferred, but we are happy to train the right person.
- An interest in traditional from scratch baking
- Barista or Cafe experience is a plus
- Reliability, good communication and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to show up to work safely and reliably.
Schedule: Early mornings 5:30am - 9:30am, Tuesday - Saturday; 20 hours a week.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
