The Role | The Next Phase of Camp Ferncrest
This
General Manager
role represents the
next chapter of the Ferncrest experience
.
You will be the senior on-site leader responsible for evolving the guest experience, strengthening operations, and building consistency across both properties. This is a hands-on role for someone ready to step into greater ownership and lead an operation with care, clarity, and confidence.
Your job is simple to say and challenging to execute:
ensure guests experience exactly what they came for — and leave wanting to return.
What You'll Lead
- Day-to-day leadership of Camp Ferncrest and The Rex
- Oversight of accommodations, common spaces, and overall guest flow
- A lean, hands-on team including housekeeping and maintenance
- A guest experience rooted in presence, responsiveness, and intention
- Continuous improvement of systems, standards, and service consistency
- Events and light programming that connect guests to place and purpose
- Close partnership with founders as the properties continue to grow

Experience That Fits This Role
- Hospitality experience
leading an operation or department
(lodging, retreat, outdoor hospitality, boutique hotel, resort, or similar) - Experience managing people, schedules, and day-to-day service delivery
- Comfort making decisions, solving problems, and setting standards
- Wellness, spa, or food & beverage experience
is a strong plus - Ready to step into a broader leadership role with full ownership
