Role Description The Front Desk Specialist – Full Time is responsible for managing the reception area and serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at the Naples, FL location. This on-site role includes greeting and checking in patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, scheduling and confirming appointments, and managing patient flow in coordination with clinical staff. Daily tasks involve answering and directing phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, handling messages, and maintaining an organized front desk and waiting area. The Front Desk Specialist also processes patient forms, performs insurance verification, collects co-pays and balances, updates records in the practice management system, and follows privacy and confidentiality guidelines. This role supports a smooth and professional patient experience while ensuring accurate and timely administrative operations.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with patients, families, and staff.
- Proficient phone etiquette and receptionist duties, including answering multi-line phones, directing calls, and managing check-in/check-out processes.
- Computer literacy, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) or practice management software, email, and basic office applications.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced medical office environment.
- Attention to detail and respect for patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Previous experience in a medical front desk, hospital, or health care setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in medical office administration is a plus.
