What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barn Manager position at Fern Hollow Farm?
Established local level hunter/jumper show barn and lesson program is looking for a barn manager.
Responsibilities to include: Overseeing care of 30 horses (both facility owner and boarders)
Managing staff (4-5 barn workers)
Ordering feed, bedding and supplies
Grooming 9 lesson horses
Assist in preparing for shows (pull manes, trim, load trailer, etc)
Assisting vet and farrier
Doing routine medical treatments (cleaning cuts, soaking feet, treating skin conditions, etc)
Organizing and maintaining tack and equipment
Help oversee and assist with facility maintenance
Pay $20-$25 per hour. Part time 20-25 hours a week Potential for full time if qualified and interested in teaching lessons or want to do some barn work hours.
Candidates should have previous barn work experience. Previous management experience is a plus.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
