The Role
We are seeking a Photodiode Assembly / Wire-Bonding Technician to support the production of high-speed fiber-optic photodiodes for telecommunications and related applications.
This is a hands-on technical position centered on manual gold wire bonding, microscopic assembly, optical fiber handling, and device testing. Precision, consistency, and attention to detail are critical to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual gold wire bonding to connect photodiode chips to package leads (strongly preferred)
- Inspect wire bonds for placement, bond integrity, and reliability using a microscope
- Clean, inspect, and handle semiconductor photodiode chips
- Assemble photodiode components with high mechanical and electrical precision
- Handle optical fibers and perform precise fiber alignment
- Conduct basic electrical and optical testing of devices
- Package and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
Training Provided
No prior semiconductor or wire-bonding experience is required.
We provide comprehensive hands-on training, including:
- Semiconductor chip handling and ESD control
- Die attach processes
- Gold wire-bonding techniques and quality inspection
- Optical fiber handling and active fiber alignment
- Operation of production and test equipment

Full-time Employment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with wire bonding, micro-assembly, or fiber optics is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and laboratory equipment is helpful
