What your day-to-day as an Application Physicist at Fermilab will look like:
- Job assignments may include investigating, defining and resolving assigned technical and scientific problems. Activities include setting up and monitoring tests, contributing to operations of facilities, application of modeling and simulation tools, writing reports, and evaluations for technical and scientific activities.
- Provides technical advice to Technicians and other scientific professionals regarding the technical aspects of the research activities, including methods development, trouble-shooting problems, interpreting results and planning follow-up experiments.
- Prepares technical reports and papers on research and development activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.

- Ability to exercise scientific and technical judgment. Has independent judgement and limited to Supervisor/Manager approval.
