Job Description
Ferguson Electric’s Highway Division is seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead and oversee all phases of assigned projects from initiation through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating pre-construction and construction activities while working closely with the Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager and Project Foreman. The Project Manager will also serve as a key point of contact with customers and inspection teams to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable requirements and standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of assigned projects from commencement through final completion
- Manage projects in accordance with contract specifications, code requirements, company safety policies, and OSHA regulations
- Monitor and manage project financial performance through ongoing job forecasting and cost control
- Lead pre-construction meetings to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to field operations
- Collaborate with prefabrication and construction departments to support project execution
- Coordinate activities between Ferguson Electric field crews, subcontractors, utility companies, and customer inspection teams
- Oversee utility relocations and related construction activities, when applicable
- Ensure timely completion of all project closeout documentation and procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of construction project management experience required
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
- Knowledge of construction practices, project scheduling, and budgeting
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards preferred
