The YMCA Camp Koda Jr. is packed with activities that will keep minds sharp and little bodies moving! Kids will have a BLAST with outdoor games, sports activities, art projects, and more during each themed week! Each week, the kids will work to prepare a sing-along program to perform for their families. Camp Koda Jr. is a Half Day Camp located at the Fercho YMCA.
As a Youth Camp Koda Jr. Counselor, you will supervise children ages 3-5 as they participate in our half-day camp activities. You'll serve as a mentor and role model to the kids in our program and help campers adjust to camp, introduce them to new friends, and ensure their safety during camp, and make their time at camp as memorable as possible! A typical day at Camp Koda Jr. includes Group Time (Songs and Themed Discussions), Themed Art Projects, Gym Time, Themed Games, Lunch, Sing-along, Park/Swimming/Field Trip, and Story Time (followed by parent pick up).
Youth Half Day Camp - Counselor:
Training starts June 1st and programming goes until August 28th. (You will get June 29th - July 3rd off)
Requirements
1. At least 16 years old
2. 6 months of directly related experience working with youth

Youth Half Day Camp - Counselor:
- Responsible for the direct supervision and safety of the children (ages 3 to 5) in the camp program
- Available to answer parent/caregiver questions.
- Help campers adjust to camp by introducing them to new friends and facilitating positive peer-to-peer interactions
- Create a positive and nurturing relationship with the children, while building cooperative relationships with their parents/caregivers
- May require driving the People Mover vehicle for field trips - this requires a Class D driver's license

Requirements
1. At least 16 years old
2. 6 months of directly related experience working with youth
3. And must also complete:
- Within 90 days of hire: CPR/FA Certification for Adult, Child, Pediatrics
