Development Services Office Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY

Full-time position supporting Community Development and Economic Development operations. Responsibilities include administrative support to the Community Development Director, responding to routine zoning inquiries, and providing staff support to City boards and commissions. The position also carries significant responsibility for Port Authority administration, including management of leased properties and coordination of maintenance activities at the Port Authority-owned Community Behavioral Health Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Ability to research and respond to zoning and land use inquiries; develop and maintain a working knowledge of City Code.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills to keep projects and schedules on track.
• Loan administration and basic accounting.
• Basic web design and website administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and web-based programs.
• Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
• Comfortable working through situations where the rules don't perfectly fit the circumstances; make sound independent judgements.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education background equivalent or greater than B.A. or B.S. degree.
• Minimum of two (2) years related experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  
  

Compensation

The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $28.89/hr.

Pay range: $28.89-$37.57
