Ferco is looking for a qualified Laser Operator to join our growing team.
Laser Operators set laser up to include nesting and programming based on material type and thickness to ensure optimal performance of the equipment while maximizing material usage. The ideal team member will have proven experience in a manufacturing environment running and programming lasers. Full-time position with benefits available on 2nd shift. Work is in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility with a friendly environment and a small company feel

Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am with overtime possible daily and Sundays
The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following and possess the following
- Responsible for selecting material from the sheet rack to be laser cut based on the router requirements.
- Perform "First Piece Article" inspections and document part dimensions per engineering drawings and specifications
- Must be able to read blueprints, troubleshoot issues and and perform daily maintenance checks
- Forklift experience a plus
- Ability to multi-task
- Good work ethic
- Self-starter
- Willing to learn
- Good attendance
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Laser experience
- Nesting Software experience
- Mazak or Trumpf experience a plus
Position Demands
- Able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods of time on a daily basis
- Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc
- Able to successfully pass vision screens
- Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
- Perform repetitious duties, such as hammering parts.
