Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers through responsive, reliable service
- Collaborate with Outside Sales and Inside Sales Manager to respond to quotes and fulfill orders accurately
- Interpret customer material applications and relay internal needs using AS400 and Salesforce™
- Maintain updated and accurate customer data in the AS400 system
- Support customer satisfaction through clear communication, inventory coordination, and timely delivery
- Understand our division’s capabilities to make informed, quality-driven decisions
- Effectively respond to urgent customer needs and changing priorities
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in AS400, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and a team player
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2–5 years of experience in steel or industrial sales preferred
Additional Skills
- Ability to explain and present information clearly in both one-on-one and group settings
- Basic math and data analysis skills
- Knowledge of steel terminology and product grades is a plus
- Occasional travel may be required
