Job Summary
We’re a small steel shop seeking a part-time Estimator specializing in architectural and structural steel to join our construction team. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the Reno/Tahoe market and have experience with online bid platforms and talking with contractors in person.
Duties
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for architectural and structural steel projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to determine scope of work and cost implications.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing, scope adjustments, and contract terms.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes specific to architectural and structural steel projects.
- Solid understanding of construction site operations, safety standards, and site management practices.
- Expertise in pricing strategies for steel materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Familiarity with construction management principles, contracts, and project lifecycle from bidding through completion.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
