Role Description
Feral Cat Warriors is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and scale our day-to-day programs and field operations. This is a hybrid leadership role based in Kingman, AZ, responsible for supporting operations across Arizona and the Las Vegas area.
The Director of Operations serves as the primary operational leader, responsible for ensuring that rescue, TNR, foster, and adoption programs run efficiently, consistently, and at scale. This role will work closely with the Executive Director (CEO) and the leadership team to translate strategy into execution while building systems and structures to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across all programs, including rescue intake, TNR, foster placement, and adoptions
- Ensure consistent, efficient workflows and high-quality program execution
- Identify and resolve operational challenges and bottlenecks
Program Management & Growth
• Support and coordinate program leads (TNR, foster/adoption, regional operations)
• Ensure alignment and consistency across Arizona and Las Vegas operations
• Help expand program capacity and improve animal outcomes
Team & Volunteer Leadership
• Lead and support volunteers and program coordinators
• Help build a structured, accountable operational team
• Foster a culture of collaboration, compassion, and execution
Performance Tracking & Process Improvement
• Monitor key performance metrics (intake, adoptions, TNR activity, foster capacity)
• Analyze data to improve program effectiveness and efficiency
• Develop and implement systems and processes that support growth
Operations Support & Resource Management
• Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and vendor coordination
• Support efficient use of resources and operational planning
• Coordinate with Finance & Compliance to ensure alignment
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Marketing, Development, and Grants teams
• Support fundraising and adoption campaigns through operational readiness
• Collaborate on events and community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
• Strong experience in operations management, program coordination, or organizational leadership
• Proven ability to manage teams (staff and/or volunteers) and drive accountability
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to track performance and make data-informed decisions
• Experience with budgeting, resource management, and vendor coordination
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in nonprofit, animal welfare, or community-based organizations
• Experience managing multi-site or regional operations
• Background in scaling programs or building operational systems
• Familiarity with volunteer-driven organizations
