Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage table settings, clear dishes, and assist with bussing to maintain a clean dining area
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met in food handling and service
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fine dining or nightclub setting
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns with professionalism
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, including serving in fine dining or nightclub environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Valid food handling certification or willingness to obtain one prior to employment
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment
