Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and conduct floor care to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies with proper safety procedures.
- Ensure all sanitation standards are met by following hotel housekeeping management procedures and hotel emergency protocols.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while following safety guidelines.
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and hotel emergency procedures is a plus.
