Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, experienced dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher who meets State of Michigan training requirements to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as a vital leader within our classroom environments, guiding and inspiring both children and fellow staff members. Your expertise in early childhood development, classroom management, and care giving will create a nurturing, engaging space where toddlers can thrive and relationships with families will be established. As a lead educator, you will be responsible for fostering a safe, stimulating environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and positive social interactions. Duties

  • Lead daily classroom activities for toddlers, ensuring a structured yet flexible routine that supports developmental milestones.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage exploration, learning, and social-emotional growth.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid procedures when necessary.
  • Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating with parents or guardians regularly.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance strategies, promoting respectful interactions among children.
  • Support the emotional well-being of children by providing comfort, nurturing relationships, and fostering a sense of security.
  • Assist in training and mentoring assistant teachers or caregivers to uphold high-quality care standards.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, childcare policies, and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education techniques, and care giving practices.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with toddlers in daycare, preschool, or similar childcare settings is essential.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to create an organized, engaging learning environment.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community resources to support each child's growth.
