POSTED ON 7/9/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/7/2026
Location: Louisville, Colorado (HQ)

In-office: 4 days/week

Compensation: $115,000 annually

Role Overview

The Associate Creative Director (ACD) serves as the senior-most creative leader for the Americas, leading the Creative function across the region, translating business strategy into compelling campaigns and experiences that strengthen the Fjällräven brand and drive sustainable commercial growth. This role combines creative vision with operational excellence to build a high-performing team, establish scalable ways of working, and deliver exceptional creative across every touchpoint.

Reporting directly to the CMO, you will partner closely with Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, Product, Sales, and Global Creative to set priorities, align creative with business objectives, and deliver work that is strategically grounded, creatively distinctive, and commercially effective.

Success in this role means building both exceptional campaigns and the creative organization capable of delivering them year after year. In doing so, you’ll shape the future of Creative across the Americas by leading a high-performing team, cultivating a strong creative culture, and building the campaigns that define the next chapter of the Fjällräven brand.

What You'll Own

  • Creative Leadership & Campaign Development
  • Translate business priorities into inspiring creative strategies and campaigns.
  • Lead the development of seasonal campaigns, product launches, and brand storytelling across channels.
  • Champion a high standard of creative excellence and quality while balancing global consistency with regional relevance.
  • Establish a clear creative vision and provide confident direction throughout the creative process.
  • Creative Operations & Execution
  • Build the operational foundation that enables exceptional creative work.
  • Own creative intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and workflow management across the Americas.
  • Utilize modern project management systems to create visibility, accountability, and predictable execution.
  • Proactively manage priorities, resources, and risks to ensure projects are delivered on time, on strategy, and at a consistently high standard.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, Product, and Global teams to align creative priorities with business goals.
  • Build trusted relationships through clear communication and collaborative leadership.
  • Represent the Creative team internally and externally through presentations, agency partnerships, retailer meetings, events, and other brand-facing opportunities.
  • Create clarity in ambiguous situations and proactively remove obstacles that impact execution.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Build and develop a high-performing creative team through coaching, mentorship, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen team capabilities and develop future creative leaders.
  • Empower others through effective delegation and thoughtful resource planning.
  • Build an inclusive creative culture where curiosity, ownership, thoughtful risk-taking, and continuous learning thrive.

What Success Looks Like

  • Campaigns strengthen the Fjällräven brand through strategically grounded, creatively distinctive work that delivers measurable business results.
  • The creative team is engaged, growing, and empowered to do its best work.
  • Clear priorities, effective systems, and thoughtful resource allocation enable the Creative organization to scale successfully.
  • Stakeholders view Creative as a trusted strategic partner.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a pure design or production role.
  • Not an ideas-only creative position disconnected from business outcomes.
  • Not a role that personally executes every project. Success comes from building a talented team, creating scalable systems, and leading exceptional creative work through strategic direction, thoughtful delegation, and operational excellence.

Who You Are

  • A creative leader with exceptional judgment, taste, and a passion for building brands.
  • Equally energized by developing people, shaping campaigns, and improving how teams work.
  • Strategic, commercially minded, and comfortable translating business objectives into compelling creative.
  • An enthusiastic and approachable leader who communicates with confidence and builds strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Highly organized, operationally strong, and comfortable prioritizing, delegating, and making decisions independently.
  • Curious, collaborative, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement.

Experience

  • 6 years leading integrated creative teams with responsibility for creative strategy, campaign development, and execution.
  • Portfolio demonstrating integrated campaigns with measurable business impact and exceptional creative execution.
  • Demonstrated experience building creative operations through project management platforms such as Monday.com, Asana, or similar.
  • Proven success building, coaching, and leading multidisciplinary creative teams through effective prioritization, delegation, and resource planning.
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, and building high-performing creative organizations.
  • Strong production knowledge with the ability to balance quality, speed, and efficiency.
  • Experience working across multiple channels within complex, cross-functional, or global organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously while influencing stakeholders across the business.
