Duties
- Assist in the installation of fences using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment according to project specifications and technical drawings
- Measure and interpret construction plans to ensure accurate fence placement and alignment
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as posts, panels, concrete blocks, and fencing components to facilitate efficient installation
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding or supports, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Use welding and masonry skills for concrete forming, finishing, or reinforcing fence structures when necessary
- Operate power tools safely and effectively while adhering to all safety guidelines for construction site work
- Collaborate with team members to complete fence construction projects on time and to quality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or related trades such as frame carpentry or masonry is highly preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and building material installation techniques
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of power tool safety procedures and proper handling of construction equipment
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, landscape maintenance or hardscape projects is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail
