Duties
- Measure and mark fence lines accurately to ensure proper placement and alignment
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to install fences made of wood, vinyl, chain link, or other materials
- Dig post holes using manual or powered augers, ensuring stability and proper depth for fence posts
- Assemble fence panels and secure them with nails, screws, or welding as needed
- Perform site preparation including clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting concrete footings for posts
- Conduct routine inspections of installed fences for quality control and durability
- Assist with other construction tasks such as framing, masonry work, concrete forming and finishing, landscape maintenance or hardscape installation when required
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is highly preferred; familiarity with frame carpentry and masonry techniques is a plus
- Knowledge of welding and concrete finishing techniques will enhance your effectiveness on the job
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting, and construction site safety protocols is essential
- Background in landscape maintenance or hardscape projects demonstrates versatility in outdoor construction work
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
