What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician position at FEMS?
About the Role
FEMS is hiring a field technician to perform site surveys at national retail store locations across Tennessee. You’ll document each store’s HVAC, building automation (BAS), and electrical equipment using the CompanyCam mobile app. The surveys are photo-driven, and each one must be complete in a single visit.
Responsibilities
- Based in Arizona and able to travel statewide and to New Mexico, including overnight trips as needed
- Complete every item on the CompanyCam survey checklist before leaving the site
- Verify and photograph BAS controllers and panels (inside and outside), zone sensors, thermostats, and control boards
- Photograph all RTUs, fire alarm panels and connections, and heaters
- Verify and document voltage and roof curb conditions
- Photograph electrical rooms, offices, fitting rooms, RTU zones, and roof areas
- Mark up floor plans with RTU, sensor, electrical panel, BAS, IT equipment, and roof access locations, plus north direction
- Note any field conditions that differ from the provided drawings
- Document deficiencies found onsite
- Record the store manager’s name and store hours
- Tag and upload all photos correctly for Remote Support review
Qualifications
- 2 years of HVAC, BAS/controls, or electrical field experience
- Able to identify RTUs, BAS controllers, sensors, and electrical panels
- Comfortable reading floor plans and using a multimeter
- Able to climb ladders and work on rooftops
- Smartphone or tablet and comfort with mobile apps (CompanyCam experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail, since incomplete surveys mean return trips
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

System installs, uninstalls and maintenance, low voltage, Lighting, UVC Lighting, Low Voltage, mostly commercial work with some residential.
