As the Shop Floor Operations Lead, you align people, processes, and parts—keeping CNC and milling operations on spec, on time, and OSHA-compliant. You champion training, quality checks, and a clean workspace, while maintaining the materials pipeline and supporting off-shift continuity.How You’ll Make an ImpactConvert the production plan into clear priorities and keep work moving.Schedule and coordinate daily activities; track output to stay on schedule.Participate in hiring and selection to strengthen the production team.Hold operators to quality standards through consistent, standardized checks.Manage training and cross-training programs; conduct regular check-ins to adjust learning paths.Establish performance expectations, observe results, provide structured feedback and appraisals, and administer discipline when warranted.Assist with scheduled safety inspections to uphold OSHA compliance.Promote a spotless, organized shop environment.Maintain inventory levels for raw materials, production supplies, packaging, and finished goods.Extend leadership to off-shift production to ensure continuity and control.What You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent (required).3 years of supervisory experience.Proven track record in fast-paced manufacturing (required).Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations management, engineering, or related field (preferred).Technical Know-HowFoundational knowledge of manufacturing processes, QMS, and production principles.Experience with CNC and milling operations.Microsoft applications proficiency.ERP system knowledge.Leadership & Soft SkillsClear communicator and effective people leader.Analytical problem solver who selects practical, best-fit solutions.Works with urgency while preserving accuracy and safety.Builds trust, respect, and teamwork across the floor.High attention to detail.English/Spanish bilingual preferred, not required.Preferred ProficienciesLeadership / People ManagementBachelor’s DegreeStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Supervisory ExperienceLean Manufacturing PrinciplesScheduling ExperienceHigh School / GEDExcellent Communication SkillsExperience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentTools of the TradeERP softwarePrecision measurement tools: calipers and micrometersForklifts
