About the Role:
The Vice President of Finance plays a critical leadership role in shaping the financial strategy and health of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring robust financial governance, and driving strategic cost management initiatives that align with the organization’s long-term objectives. This role requires close collaboration with executive leadership to provide insightful financial analysis and guidance that supports informed decision-making. Ultimately, the Vice President of Finance ensures the organization’s financial integrity, compliance with audit regulations, and sustainable growth in a dynamic long-term healthcare environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, including executive management.
- 10 years’ experience as the Controller or Director of Finance with direct supervision of the finance team, preferably with a not-for-profit healthcare organization.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, risk management, and strategic cost management.
- Strong knowledge of financial governance, audit regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial auditing, including leading internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and implementing effective internal controls.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline.
- Track record of leading finance teams through periods of significant growth or transformation.
