Overview
We are a mission-driven, non-profit senior care organization seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Benefits and Compliance. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our benefits strategy, managing all aspects of our comprehensive employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
With oversight of benefits and compliance across six senior living campuses in the valley, you will play a key role in delivering competitive, cost-effective benefits that support the well-being of our dedicated team and align with our organizational mission.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the organization's benefits strategy and administration, including health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs.
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including ERISA, ACA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and more.
- Partner with brokers, carriers, and vendors to evaluate plan performance, cost-effectiveness, and employee satisfaction.
- Lead annual open enrollment processes and employee communications related to benefits and compliance.
- Monitor regulatory updates and implement policy or process changes as needed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for HR staff, leadership, and employees.
Support audits and reporting requirements related to benefits and regulatory filings.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the CHRO to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in employee benefits and HR compliance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of benefit regulations and compliance requirements in healthcare or non-profit environments preferred.
- Proven ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations.
- Proven experience in managing vendor relationships, benefits data analytics, and complex benefits budgets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration software, with a preference for ADP.
Schedule: This role currently follows a hybrid schedule (2-3 days remote). Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
Pay Rate: The starting pay rate for the positions is $90,000 per year, with compensation varying based on experience and qualifications.
