Fellowship Bible Church is an independent, evangelical, Bible-teaching church of approximately 500 congregants located in southern New Jersey. The church is led by a team of four pastors working alongside six volunteer elders in a non-hierarchical, collaborative ministry model. Role Description
This position offers mentorship and expected transition over 2-3 years as our current Teaching Pastor approaches retirement. This role is ideal for a developing teacher with ministry experience who is ready for accelerated growth in biblical teaching and pastoral leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with our Teaching Pastor and pastoral team, initially focusing on small group ministry leadership while developing preaching skills and gradually assuming greater teaching responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Active and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by action, attitude, and behavior.
- Qualified to serve as an elder, outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
- Previous experience in local church and/or para-church ministry leadership capacity.
- Possession of a University degree in Bible is required. Extensive ministry experience, in some cases, can be substituted.
- Demonstrated gifts and passion for teaching, with readiness for development and growth, and a heart for discipleship.
- Experience in or aptitude for small group ministry and discipleship
- Strong collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively in a team-based ministry environment
- A passion for ministry and to see families grow in their faith together.
