The Nurse Educator is responsible for delivering Fello’s Certified Medication Technician (CMT) trainings and other nursing-related educational programs to new and existing employees. This position conducts initial certification courses, competency evaluations, and ongoing skills training to ensure staff are prepared to safely administer medications and perform delegated nursing tasks. The role includes developing and maintaining nursing training curriculum, preparing instructional materials, and coordinating renewal training to ensure compliance. Additionally, this position may provide coverage for Nurse Case Managers and Delegating Nurses during leave and vacancies, including on-call coverage as needed, and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate brings five or more years of professional experience providing nursing services for people with disabilities in a community-based setting. They are proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and have knowledge of outcome systems and electronic medical records. They possess the ability to remain flexible, calm under pressure, and adaptive, with strong clinical nursing skills and the ability to translate those skills into education and training. They also have excellent oral and written communications and strong interpersonal skills.
This position requires a current State of Maryland RN license from the Board of Nursing and certification as a trainer for the Medication Technician Training Program (MTTP), or the ability to obtain that certification within three months of hire. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
