Fellini Pizzeria in Pawtuxet Village is looking to add to our experienced team. We are hoping to find at least two qualified and dependable employees for our busy summer season. We are a family owned restaurant that takes pride in creating a positive, community oriented work environment.
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Pizza Chef, and additionally, a Sandwich Chef to join our vibrant culinary team! In this role, you will be the creative force behind crafting delicious, high-quality pizzas and sandwiches that delight our guests.
APPLICANTS FOR PIZZA CHEF POSITON MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE.
We are willing to train the right individual for the sandwich making position.
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas and sandwiches, ensuring each item meets quality standards and presentation expectations
- Manage food production processes, including ingredient prep, portion control, and plating techniques
- Oversee inventory control for ingredients specific to pizza and sandwich stations to minimize waste and optimize stock levels
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper handling of all ingredients.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus for special events, catering orders, or themed promotions
Requirements
- Proven experience in pizza making, sandwich preparation, or related culinary roles within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, handling, and sanitation practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising kitchen staff or managing shifts effectively
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and food production workflows
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality presentation and flavor balance
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
- Prior experience in banquet service, fine dining, or catering environments is highly desirable
