Position OverviewThe Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the efficient movement of goods, materials, and information across the supply chain. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, optimize customer experience, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Plan and coordinate logistics operations, transportation, and warehousing management
- Process Sales Orders in a TMS system and follow appropriate routing guides
- Process orders in customer web portals and schedule shipments based on custom transportation requirements
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or distribution centers
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth logistics operations
- Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation, including shipping labels and bills of lading
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and related documentation
- Resolve logistical issues, delays, or damages promptly
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills to track shipments, interpret logistics data, and resolve issues efficiently
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with carriers, internal teams, and customers
- Customer service skills to handle inquiries and address delivery concerns
- Experience with inventory management
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles
- Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting and work under pressure
Preferred:
- Prior experience in logistics, distribution, or warehousing (especially in manufacturing or appliance environment)
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and WMS/TMS systems
- Additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management
- Fluency in multiple languages
