Job Summary
The Technical & Reliability Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the site’s technical functions — including Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, and Automation. This position ensures manufacturing reliability, facilities management, and compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements while leading a cross-functional team of engineers and multi-craft trades. This role will directly manage the Power Distribution Engineer, Automation Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Planner/Buyer, and Maintenance/Facilities team members.
Duties
- Lead and develop the technical and maintenance organization to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all manufacturing and facility systems.
- Own the site reliability strategy including preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
- Oversee maintenance planning, work execution, and spare parts management.
- Manage capital and facility improvement projects from concept through implementation.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate standards for safety, environmental, and electrical systems.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for production equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor KPIs, and ensure cost-effective maintenance practices.
- Partner with Production, Quality, and Continuous Improvement to improve OEE, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.
- Establish and maintain an effective contractor and vendor management program.
- Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
- Develop long-term engineering and reliability roadmaps that align with business strategy
Requirements
- · Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field required).
· Minimum 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, reliability, or technical management.
· Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams in an industrial environment.
· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, PLCs, and mechanical systems.
· Demonstrated success implementing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), predictive technologies, and CMMS utilization.
· Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
· Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and environmental compliance standards.
· PMP, PE, or CMRP certification preferred.
· Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent experience desirable.
Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
