Cook, Full-time

We are hiring a full-time Cook to provide healthy and homemade meals within a convent home for Franciscan sisters at our Enfield convent home/eldercare facility. Our convent is located at 1315 Enfield Street, Enfield.

• Full-time Cook for the following schedule:
  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
    • Shifts vary:
      • Days (6:00 - 2:30 pm)
      • Afternoons (9:30 am - 6:00 pm)

General Summary:

The Cook’s primary responsibility is to prepare food in accordance with established menus, recipes, and sanitary standards. This position ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local food service standards as well as the organization's policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of food service or restaurant experience (working in a commercial or institutional food service environment is a PLUS).
  
• Experience in an Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, hospital or other healthcare environment is preferred but not required. SERV Safe certification preferred.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
