Product Design Engineer

Job Summary:

The Product Design Engineering position is a Mechanical Engineer that works to create sold order designs. They may also be tasked with other general work tasks not specifically covered under the Product Design Engineering job description. 

Requirements

Essential Functions of Position:

· Provide technical support in the form of design calculations and adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.

· Create and revise CAD drawings, and 3D models for project approval and in-house fabrication.

· Work with the project manager to maintain, document, and communicate project schedules.

· Communicate daily with internal and external customers. 

· Create Bill of Materials

· Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors.

· Develop and maintain detailed documentation to track project development and design process.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• CAD and Inventor experience 
• Associates degree in relevant field with related work experience. 
• Knowledge of how mechanical systems and processes work.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Excellence in verbal and written communication and ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors in mechanical engineering
• 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment completing Engineering design work
• 3-5 years working in Inventor or SolidWorks 
• Previous Epicor (ERP) Experience

Physical Requirements: 

• Required to sit, stand, and walk; for up to 8 hours per day.
• Continuous use of the hand, arm, and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to communicate professionally, in written and oral communications.

Classification: Exempt                                         Pay Range: Min $73,615- Max $126,500
