San Diego Immigration Law firm seeks a detail-oriented Paralegal with a minimum of bachelor’s degree, for a friendly fast-paced team environment; will train appropriate candidate, 2 year of immigration experience preferred. The paralegal will work with attorneys helping the dreams of foreign nationals come true! Primary responsibilities:Responsible for working with attorneys in the preparation, filing, and monitoring of various immigration and nationality law matters.Understand the procedures and documentation required for cases to be filed successfullyWork with clients to gather the necessary information and documentation in a timely mannerPrepare forms according to information received from clientsPrepare letters and other documents on behalf of the clientData entry into in-house database as per instructionsFinalize documents after review by AttorneyDemonstrate ability to manage a high caseload and work within strict timelinesMonitor the status of all filed applications and petitionsRun reports to assist in managing one’s own caseloadKeep abreast of current regulations and procedures relating to filing applicationsThe ideal candidate will have the following qualities:Intelligence,Strong writing skills (including grammar and punctuation),Detail-oriented,Ability to work independently,Strong work ethics,Passionate about helping people,Ability to excel within an extremely high-volume environment,Ability to work well with minimal supervision,Ability to catch errors and correct the work of others,Superior client service skills,Ability to prioritize cases, manage caseload and other tasks (i.e. Projects, company management responsibilities, etc.),Ability to meet deadlines and goals Minimum 2-year commitment.
