What you’ll do
As an Associate Engineering Technician, you will support the engineering functions of the firm. You will also:
» Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, exhibits and graphics using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
» Assist project engineers and senior designers with drafting for roadway, utility, grading, site development and transportation projects.
» Incorporate redlines, design challenges and quality control corrections into plans.
» Set up sheets, perform basic design layouts, and follow drafting standards and templates.
» Organize files, maintain drawing documentation and assist with deliverable coordination.
» Support design teams with data entry, quantity takeoffs, exhibits and presentation materials.
» Collaborate with engineering, surveying and construction teams to ensure accurate drawings.
» Assist with occasional field verifications or site documentation.
» Participate in project meetings and support multidisciplinary collaboration.

What it takes
An associate degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology or related field from a technical college or institution is preferred. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D in professional or academic settings is strongly preferred. You should also:
» Understand civil engineering drawings, roadway design, grading and utility plans.
» Have strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and manage drawing files.
» Be able to learn quickly and follow established drafting standards.
» Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
» Be motivated to grow in a consulting environment.
