The Senior Fund Operations Analyst is accountable for providing day-to-day support on FEG’s proprietary funds. Responsibilities include coordinating activities with Fund Operations staff, custodians/banks, third-party vendors, fund administrators, FEG internal parties, and investment managers. What You’ll Do / Position Responsibilities
Operations, Accounting & Reporting
- Preparation of all fund processes including valuation, financial reporting, treasury management, audit, tax, and investor relations.
- Compiling and analyzing bank, investment, and financial statements.
- Perform account maintenance and reconciliation activities.
- Reconciling and forecasting of cash.
- Manage and process cash activities including checks, transfers, wires, private capital calls and distributions.
- Coordinate the execution of new manager documents.
- Interacting and assisting investors with issues and needs related to their investments including coordinating client audit requirements.
- Coordinating with third-party vendors associated with the administration of all FEG Funds.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Assist with departmental projects as desired.
- Serve as mentor to junior operations staff to promote familiarity of processes and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field; MBA or CAIA desirable.
- 2-5 years’ experience in financial operations or similar field, preferably alternative fund related.
- Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance.
- Experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- High attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and high work ethic. Must be able to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Exemplary knowledge of alternative investments and operations.
- Proficient computer skills with ability to learn proprietary software.
- Ability to identify and resolve or appropriately escalate complex issues with minimal guidance.
- Experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint with strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
