What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Feet First Podiatry?
Feet First Podiatry is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Podiatric Medical Assistant to support our providers across three office locations. This is a full-time position and requires flexibility and the ability to travel between locations as scheduled.
The Medical Assistant will work directly with podiatric physicians to provide excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist the provider during examinations and minor procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Perform basic clinical tasks, including bandaging, wound care, etc, as directed
- Document patient information accurately in the EMR- Modernizing Medicine
- Take X-rays, apply / remove cast, digital or foam box orthotics
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional work environment
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification preferred; relevant experience considered
- Prior medical office experience preferred (podiatry experience is a plus)
- Ability to travel between three office locations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinic
