Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cashiering and cash handling
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and replenished regularly
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and inventory counts
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and active listening
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional phone etiquette
- Ability to perform upselling techniques effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Experience with stocking, FIFO and product demos preferred
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
- Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations and cash handling
- Prior experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive customer relationships and teamwork
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
