Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and personable Meat Cutter to join our team in a customer-facing role. Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and safety guidelines
- Package meat products efficiently while maintaining presentation quality
- Assist customers with selections, answer questions about cuts of meat, and provide exceptional customer service
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain cleanliness of the work station, tools, and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards
- Restock display cases and storage areas as needed to ensure product availability
- Follow all safety protocols during meat processing and handling activities
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and uphold quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments, preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting
- Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in packaging meats for retail or wholesale purposes is a plus
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry is desirable but not required
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used for meat processing and sanitation standards
